She oozes creativity and loves love just like us :) We had the chance to ask Liz a few questions (personal + professional) and about what drives her to do what she loves. Check it out!

Everyone - Meet Liz Kotsamanes!

What is the most BIZARRE request you’ve had?

Hmm...not so much bizarre, as not very realistic...having custom invitations designed and produced in less than 1 week. Sorry folks, I am pretty speedy, but I can't work miracles!

How did you get into designing stationery?

I started making hand-made greeting cards and it evolved from there. My sister's wedding was my first wedding invitation job and it was an amazing opportunity for me to learn and grow!

How many clients do you take on in a year?

Generally two custom clients and a few semi-custom per month, so somewhere in the neighbourhood of up to 30 to 40 clients would be the top end for one year. Book your spot in advance for a custom suite to avoid disappointment!

Do you have a favourite font?

I have several! My favourite script font is Aston and my favourite Serrif font is Carrig Refined.

How long have you been in business?

I have been creating since 2015!

What is your turnaround time from booking to delivery?

For a semi-custom invitation, approximately 6 to 8 weeks. For a custom invitation, approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on when you book! Custom design production time is around 12 to 16 weeks.

How many proofs do you allow for a custom design?

Generally speaking, 2-3 proofs are included with your package.

What makes you different from other stationery designers?

I love a good challenge! If I don't have a source for something, I will do everything I can to find one!

Now for the personal stuff - What is Liz like on the everyday???

What inspires you?

Flowers are a huuuuge inspiration to me! I love the vivid colours and have a small floral garden at my home that makes me so happy!

What song do you know every word to"?

What is your guilty pleasure?

Dairy-free chocolate and Netflix binges!

What skill would you like to master?

I am working away at learning how to paint watercolour florals--wish me luck--it is not as easy as it looks!

Is there anything you're particularly excited about working on this year?

My cousin is getting married and I am super excited to work on the invitations for his wedding! I am also going to be exhibiting my work as a preferred vendor at Whispering Springs Wilderness retreat which is this amazing glamping venue just outside of Toronto, so I am excited for that too!

What are you most proud of in your life?

My beautiful children!

What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?

Hard-working, sincere, and friendly.

I'm dying to take a trip to...?

I would love to travel around Europe. I went to Italy and France on my honeymoon and would love to go back to those places plus a few more! I love wandering around museums, and people watching at little cafes with a nice espresso.

Favourite book of all time?

Cheesy, but I am a big Harry Potter Fan! Any of the books in the series.

If you catch me out and about, I'm always wearing...?

Probably a blazer and some Sherman jewellery! Blazers are pretty much my uniform and I love my sparkly jewellery collection.
