MAKING LEMONADE OUT OF LEMONS... THIS TOO SHALL PASS
How is everyone doing in this unprecedented crazy time??? I hope that you and your families are staying safe.
I can safely say that I am probably not the only one that is feeling a little cooped up right now.
Like so many of you, as a family we are doing our part to stay home and keep up with social distancing. It is so much harder for me than I thought!
Being a person who craves contact with the outside world, it was actually a good thing I got sick this past week. (LOL that sounds morbid.) Don’t worry, I’m not talking the “C” word… just a bout of good ol’ bronchitis. :( (just happened to be right at the time this whole social distancing went down)
I have the urge to spring clean, but physically am not up to it yet. (That list is long let me tell you!) It.can.wait. For the time being I am content to relax and let my body heal. It’s taking a bit longer than usual to get back into my normal routine so I am just going with the flow.
Being sick has given me something else to focus on other than being isolated at home.
I’ve had the chance to catch up on A LOT of television, sleep in (which I NEVER do) and pick up that book that has been staring at me on my night table. It’s a big change of pace for me… but one that was very much needed. I’ve also checked in with family, friends and neighbours to make sure they are doing ok. That connection is so necessary. We take for granted the fact that we are able to see and hold our loved ones regularly and when that is taken away…. it shakes us. It is a time to be grateful for what we have and support our community in any way we can.
We are constantly saying that there aren’t enough hours in the day… well now we’ve got it. I would love to know what you are doing to pass the time during this self-isolation?
Whatever it is, I hope you’re staying positive, staying home and staying safe.
We are all in this together.
XOXO
