You never want to hear the words naked and wedding cakes together but in this case it’s just an ‘undressed’ cake meaning no icing or frosting! More brides are catching on with this wedding trend as they opt for something more rustic; popular with those going ‘green’ and who want to keep it simple.

Some may say it’s an exposed unfinished piece but we think there is something fun and intriguing about looking into the layers and fillings of the cake. You can see all the flavours, textures and decorations oozing out and there is no hiding that imperfect sponge anymore. In fact it’s quite an art!
